OKI has launched a new printer for small businesses. It claims that this printer will help SMEs to bring back a lot of outsourcing work for the printing of promotional materials and flyers in house. This latest model is the C801. This printer joins the existing line of OKI’s A 3 color printers, C810 and C830.

With this latest addition the company is looking at capturing the small business segment which is growing at a rapid pace after the recession. The recession has helped many people into entrepreneurs giving a huge rise to the number of small businesses. OKI has realized that this segment is here to stay and grow and hence they have created something specifically for this market.

It has a resolution of 1,200×600dpi and offers an output in A3 at 12ppm and 17ppm in mono, in color operation. In A4 this increases to 22ppm and 32ppm. According to Alan McLeish who is senior marketing manager, product at OKI Printing Solutions, with this latest addition OKI will offer a full range of office printer that will provide flexibility and quality for day to day A4 print quality as well as A3 color printing.

Although the market is growing and companies are looking at spending, the approach has been cautious and cost cutting is a major component, especially with SMEs. This printer will help companies to check on the money spent on printing of day to materials as well as promotional materials. The C801 comes at a price of $929.

The latest 27 inch iMac from Apple is truly a great piece of work and it wouldn’t be surprising if you really liked it and want to have it. All in all, it looks like a good bargain but we will have to wait until it is launched. 

With wireless technology gaining popularity, it was only a matter of time that wireless mouse and keywords were introduced by companies. The latest to join this space is Lenovo. It has introduced its new 57Y6336, which is a multimedia remote and can be used for both keyboard and mouse. This remote provides full support as well as control over Windows PC and has a QWERTY key board that has square shaped buttons.

Apart from the regular PC features, the keyboard also has a number media control buttons. It has a track ball which is placed beneath the remote and it helps to control the pointer in the mouse. Recent reports suggest that it also will come along with a Turbo Drive from MSI, which can double the performance of the RAM, CPU and graphics. However, we will have to wait until MSI gives out more specifics on the technology. 

It sure is laced with some terrific features and when combined with its killer looks, it is set to create some uproar. The only concern to me still remains the cost of the machine.
