The Acer S243HL is truly a spectacular LCD monitor that would definitely take your breath away. The 24-inch LCD monitor measures just 15mm when you view it from the side and this slimness is largely due to the LED bulbs. The leg stand of the monitor is positioned more towards the right instead of being at the Center which may look a little odd to some of you. The stand has an L-shape base extending towards the left and is also responsible for providing the balance to the monitor.

The front part of the base stand has the power, brightness and set up buttons which are arranged vertically while the back part of it has the input connections. The monitor can be easily connected to a computer or a Blu- ray player with the help of the two HDMI and the VGA input that is situated behind the base. There are also audio and USB ports to further help in establishing a connection. The DVI-to-HDMI cable used by Acer makes up for the lack of DVI connector which is usually used in establishing connection with desktop computer.

However, Acer can make the speakers more powerful by passing the monitor through an additional connector after the audio has been spilt. The good thing about this monitor is that users do not have to stretch the image to fit the screen as the aspect ratio of the screen resolution is maintained by it.
