The Kodak ESP 9 is the latest incarnation of the all-in-one machine with inkjet engine, which Kodak introduced a couple of years back. The ESP 9 AIO printer is an improved version of the earlier printers offered by Kodak and is intended to serve the purpose of small as well as home office.
The printer has a 50 sheet auto document feeder which together with photo paper trays is complete black. It has a high gloss front panel and there is a yellow keyline over the control panel which together with the Kodak logo gives the identification of the machine. The most innovative thing in this printer is its touch control panel. The controls include a menu diamond, start and stop buttons, zoom controls and a fax dialing number pad.
The ESP9 has a bright and clear 76mm OLED display. The controls are very user friendly; however, the display screen does not have a touch relay. You can connect the ESP9 to your computer with the USB or the Ethernet sockets which are located at the back of the printer. It also has Wi-Fi connection that finds any available wireless networks and asks for encryption when you select a network. The software installation is quite simple but if you want to do an update check on the web you may have to wait for a while depending upon the speed of your broadband connection. The printer has software to scan and copy and also to upload images from its two memory card readers.
