With wireless technology gaining popularity, it was only a matter of time that wireless mouse and keywords were introduced by companies. The latest to join this space is Lenovo. It has introduced its new 57Y6336, which is a multimedia remote and can be used for both keyboard and mouse. This remote provides full support as well as control over Windows PC and has a QWERTY key board that has square shaped buttons.

Apart from the regular PC features, the keyboard also has a number media control buttons. It has a track ball which is placed beneath the remote and it helps to control the pointer in the mouse. This remote is priced at $59.99 and with its enhanced features and user friendliness it is a fairly reasonable price to pay.

The remote has been connected with the HTPC via a 2.4 GHz wireless technology and a tiny USB receiver. The range of this wireless is fairly good at 10 meters and it is compatible with Windows 200, Windows 7, Windows XP and Vista.

Amongst other features, the most prominent is the availability of both a 2.4 G wireless keyboard and the mouse. Other features include the Windows multimedia control, a palm size dimension that makes usage very comfortable and compatibility with most of the operating systems. Besides, it comes with a warranty of one year. It is best advised to be operated within the temperature range of 40c – 10c.

It certainly is a very handy device and particularly useful for those who have to move around while working.

The Microsoft Arc keyboard is a light keyboard with a wonderful design and great usability. It comes along with dual AAA -size batteries, a driver disc and a nano transceiver. Moreover, the keyboard has a vertical arc and an apex near the centre of the keyboard. It narrows on either end with the keys finding their place in the arc.

Microsoft has definitely been able to create a stunning looking keyboard. However, the absence of the number pad in order to make it compact would certainly put off the users who have to make use of the number pad very frequently.

The directional pad of the keyboard does not seem to be suitable for gaming, though it is ideal for your HTPC. There are just six F-keys in the Microsoft Arc keyboard and the buttons for Delete, End, Home, Page Up and Page Down have been located in the same row along with the F-keys. Users would be able to access the F7 to F12 keys by making use of FN key as the modifier.

The keyboard also has a rocker switch with four way direction instead of the conventional arrow keys. The keyboard is also not very convenient for users who are more into gaming and word processing. The absence of proper arrow keys and number pad makes the extended use of the keyboard rather discomforting. Although, the keyboard is comparatively comfortable to type and better spaced, the absence of num pad and a shallow key travel may give the users an unpleasing experience.

The Kinesis Advantage Keyboard is just the answer for all those of you out there who are tired of the traditional computer keyboard. The stylish and comfortable new keyboard has just about everything to meet your requirements and even a price of tag of $300 would not let you have any second thoughts about getting it if you consider the comfort and its style quotient.

A product from the house of Kinesis Corporation, the Advantage USB keyboard has been designed beautifully and has features which are not usually seen in USB computer keyboards. The layout of this ergonomically designed keyboard is really appreciable and gives a better fit to your hands. The well thought out layout design and scientifically placed keys of the new Kinesis Advantage Keyboard mean that you can work for long hours and still have all the comfort that your hands need. Depending on the OS that you use, the keyboard can also be customized further and has 2 USB ports too so that you can transfer more data at a faster speed.

The keyboard also has the Dvorak layout version so you have the option to choose which one better fits your bill. The Kinesis keyboard has two bowls of keys set right at the outer edges and they dip below the wrist rest of the keyboard so that you do not feel any stress in your fingers. So, although this new keyboard involves an investment of money and time, it is also rewarding as it provides a comfortable typing experience.

The launch of the much awaited Eee keyboard by has been delayed as Asus has been working on redesigning and introducing a revised version of the keyboard. The 5in resistive touchscreen display of the device has been replaced with a capacitive panel. This is though just one change, Asus has also made a number of other changes to the device which promises a better performance.

The chief of product design of the Company, Ken Wang reportedly told the Register Hardware that the capacitive touchscreen in the device would mean better touch responsiveness similar to the one that is found in the top end handsets. He also added that the touch sensitive panel of the device also has feature of supporting gesture control which is also found in Apple’s Magic Mouse. You can launch a web browser by simply swiping your fingers over the screen. The keyboard is also equipped with the feature of a plug-in Wi-Fi antenna.

Asus admitted that the metallic body of the keyboard hampered its ability to catch Wi-Fi signals; however, the only reason why they stuck to the design was because the metallic look was liked by the designer. So they have retained it but moved the aerial of the device outside of the casing. A non metallic version with an integrated wireless receiver is also in the pipelines. Asus though has not made anything clear about the price or any alternative model that may be available with the Wi-Fi receiver when the keyboard hits the UK market in the upcoming year.
